Come on Century, give us one of these!

http://world.guns.ru/assault/as53-e.htm

This is a rifle produced by CETME that uses M16 magazines and is chambered in 223/5.56 NATO. I think it looks really sweet. Doesn't look like an HK 33 twin either. Looks original and very nice.

What do you guys think?

Right on Joe, figured that would be a given. Aluminum FAC type receiver with Picatinny rail would be perfect. One could use AR-15 accessories.

I have a Hesse receiver in my G3 from Century Arms, when new it came with a lot of metal shavings inside the receiver, and the chamber was very dirty to the point that the extraction wasn't good.

After a good cleanup, the rifle has never let me down, it shoots better than I can, my only complain is the plastic stock!!!

I don't know why Hesse get so much bad rep.

Aside from the metal shavings and the Heavy Duty cleanup, I don't see anything wrong with the rifle, I think that maybe Century is responsible for the assembly, so they're responsible for this problems!

That new CETME kinda looks like a space age gun from a 50's comic book! Would be cool to have though. Very cool that it takes M16 mags.

I love my CETME, has needed some tinkering but I have had the pleasure of becoming familiar with my rifle. Only issue existing today is it wont reliably feed from a CETME mag! Only works 100% with the G3's.

Thumbs up Thanks BRG3!

I'd love to have a Modelo L to accompany my Chopo. I don't hold much hope of seeing a civilian-legal semiauto version - from CAI or otherwise, but maybe we'll get lucky.
