| Registered User | Ok. Just checked.. My firing pin isn't connected to the back piece where the pin starts to taper. Is the whole thing supposed to be one piece? Or do I have a broken firing pin? Looks like this ...................................._____________ <============= (Split) [ Conical peice ] |

It needed it anyways, as my hands were black from all the Wolf steel-cased ammo that deposited a ton of carbon back in the action. | Super Moderator ![]() | To check your firing pin, if the bolt assy.is removed, push on the rear of the firing pin where the hammer would hit it and see if it protrudes out of the bolt face...If the Gun is assembled, Chamber empty, pull the trigger so the gun is not cocked, then, pull the op rod and open the bolt about an inch to inch and a half and feel with your finger if the firing pin is protruding from the bolt face with pressure from the hammer as it is being cocked...It is a spring loaded firing pin... | Registered User | Well, I did this. I tore off a small peice of thick paper and placed it on the bolt itself. I charged the bolt and pulled the trigger and nothing happened to the paper. Hopefully this is the only problem I will have with this rifle. And this really isn't a biggy. |
