Very purdy, kR! Hopefully this Spanish Lady will treat you well.

Though, I did notice from the first pic, that the barrel has been cut shorter. I know Century did that on some of theirs at the factory and sometimes people cut off the threads for the muzzlebreak to rethread the barrel with a different threading. So, if you ever decide to get a different barrel attachment, you'll want to be doubly sure on the threading count.

The original threaded barrel attachment was a birdcage flash hider (seen here in the first pic), but Century replaced it with a 12-hole (four rows of three) muzzle break that they pinned in place where the flash hider held on and then tack-welded the top of the pin to the break. To unthread the break, you have to grind down the tack-weld that will likely be hard to see, due to being painted over, and the pin should drop out. The break should then be able to come off.

As for how to check threading, I'm not sure, but I'll bet it can be easily found on the net or someone may pick up my slack here.

The real unfortunate part is the G27 is up for naming, as it's had a good range session every time I've taken it with me, but as it's second in line to be named, I haven't even gotten an inkling as to what she'll be named or how I'll name her, but once my Spanish Lady is named, I'm sure it'll come to me.

of course the ones that fall under the generic SPOOKY BLACK RIFLE

Check to make sure you have EAR protection...LOL !
Make sure the rollers are greased with some white lithium Grease and make sure that the cocking slide mechanism is free and smooth action ! Clean chamber and Barrel...You should be good to go!

Clean the chambercleanthechambercleanthechamber and when you get done with that, clean the chamber. No grease at all, extremely light oil for the chamber. I don't recommend white lithium grease for the rollers, either. That stuff will get 'hard' with heat and lose it's lubricity. Use gun grease like comes in the tiny pots for Garands. CETMEs run best when nearly dry, just lightly oiled and VERY lightly in the chamber. They work on the roller delayed blowback principle and don't need, and indeed won't work right if at all, with lots of oil in them.
I noticed yours doesn't have the bayonet lug on front of the cocking tube. That lug has a tool kit screwed onto the inside of it on mine. Push in one pin, turn a bit, push in other pin, turn and pull out to check yours. It's a aluminum tube screwed on the back of the lug. I've seen the lugs & kits in shotgun news and bayonets are dirt cheap. Same lug and bayonet is on Spanish FR8 mausers.

Agree with what? Cleaning the chamber? Sure, it's a good idea.

As for the "cleaning tube", that's just a nice accessory to have so that you can store some cleaning supplies and mount a bayonet on the front.
