Wood or PlasticBoth

Both Spanish Ladies are in 80-90%, CAI, $600. Both come with mags. Which would you prefer. I am leaning towards wood...

You getting another one?

My plastic furnitured CAI doesn't have a slot for a sling in the buttstock. Has the eye up by the muzzle break. Haven't given a lot of thought as to how to remedy that. The forend doesn't have air holes and I wear a glove on that hand since it gets hot if you shoot a magazine or two pretty quickly. What you see is for show only. I may take that as a winter project to open them up.

Get the wood furniture, Steve. Wood furniture brings the weight of the CETME up, but it simply feels so much better in the hands that to me it's worth it.

I opened mine up and it helped a lot. I have a Tapco T-6 rear stock instead of the fixed plastic buttstock, though.

I'm showing my ignorance here but, will the wood furniture alter the parts count and put us on the wrong side of the numbers game?

Where is a good place to get the wood?

How about the HK plastic? What effect will it have?

I got a set of US made wood stocks from a guy on Gunbroker. Do a search on CETME stocks. They're really nice.

I'm a plastic fan I like the wide handguard anyway. I have the HK collapsible stock, and a custom made wood grip.
