Talking Any One Remember Dewats???

dewats or aka deactivated war trophy's.

back in the 50's and 60's ads for deactivated machine guns usually a plugged bore or bolt welded shut. alledgely some could be reactivated easily. i think the GCA of 1968 outlawed them because of the reactivation claim.

there were Lewis, Browning, MG34's Thompsons, Grease Guns, Stens and others.

sorry offtopic, but is there somewhere we (who weren't around then) could read up on the origins of the GCA ? how all this crap started in the first place ? I've tried the internet and it's all bit n pieces here n there...

I've usually seen Jewish people calling it a Nazi conspiracy but I'd like the low down without any conspiracy claims
