I've long been waiting for a FN. I started off wanting the .45 FNP then I saw the FNX written up in Handgun Magazine and I was impressed. I ordered a .40 FNX. My dealer told me it will be in Monday which is perfect timing. I am going to Mom and Dad's house for Thanksgiving and they have a couple nice ranges up there and one old farm where the land owner allows people to shoot on his property. I plan on putting a few hundred rounds through her. Pictures and range report to follow soon.
Looking forward to it Jerry. You had told me about a FN Forum a while back. Not sure if we're allowed to put web addresses to other forums on here. Can you PM it to me?
Just picked up my new toy. She's pretty. Going to Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving weekend and plan on breaking her in. I have 300 hand loads loaded up and 100 rounds of factory bought ammo.
You can shoot it all you want if you come to next years BBQ. Paul will even put an apple on his head for you to shoot off. He likes that. Espechially when he wears his pink Speedo.

haha i will make it next year if time and money allows, ill bring a few of my toys also
I hope you make it Biscuit. We had a lot of fun this year. Met some great people, made good friends, ate great food and shot lots of guns. Even after getting the chit kicked out of me in front of 25 + people by a horse I still had fun. The horse beat me up but my Wabbit kissed the cut better.
I christened her today. I love it. Shot a little over 200 rounds. Probably about 250. Shot a box of S&B like a dream. I fired 25 protection rounds that I hand loaded with 155 gr JHP bullets and 11 grains of Blue Dot and those shot the best. It was a little sticky on the cast reloads I made. I had a some 180 grain cast round nose and some 155 grain SWC cast. It did better with the 150 grain SWC's than the 180 RN's. Also shot one box of the red box Federal cheap ammo from Walmart that it shot fine. The cast bullets were iffy but that could have been my loading skills and not the pistol. As a whole it is a very accurate pistol with very little recoil and great sights.
Good report Gary. Might be just me, but seems I've always gotten better results with lead bullets after I get a substantial amount of break in time on the barrel and feed ramp.

That might be just what it needs. I shot one box of 50 S&B, 25 JHP hand loads with Hornady bullets then right to the cast. Maybe a few hundred more factory rounds and it will do a lot better.
