| Super Moderator ![]() | Screw in Barreled Revolvers
I'm aware that some Revolvers have a barrel, that the owner can screw in and out. Some, like Dan Wessons, come in a set including different length barrels. Could anyone tell me what other models of revolver there are to choose from for this application? Caliber options are 357 Rem Mag, 44 Rem Mag, and 454 Casull.

BRG, A Czech feller on MarlinTalk recently posted some pics of a new BRNO revolver - the alloy-framed "Alpha" and steel-framed "Alpha Steel", in .22LR/WMR (two cylinders) and in .357 Magnum. It resembles a Colt frame style with S&W style grip and a full-underlug barrel with ventrib, adjustable sights. Nice looking gun. Three or four barrels that can be changed without tools. We don't know yet if there is a US dealer for it. Price will be less than $400. Something to keep an eye out for.

AMERICAN ARMS SELLS THE "MATEBA" AUTOREVOLVER IN .357 AND 44 MAG. IS AVAILABLE WITH FOUR BARREL LENGTHS IT FIRES DOUBLE ACTION FOR THE FIRST SHELL AND THEN THE RECOIL ADVANCES THE CYLINDER FOR SINGLE ACTION. FIRST OF THIS TYPE I KNOW OF SINCE THE LATE 1800 WITH THE MAUSER ZIG ZAG AND THE WEBLEY-FOSBERY. DANA |
