My great uncle gave me this .25 acp pistol today, neat little gun. He also gave me 50 rounds of Remington 50gr FMJ ammo. I oiled it made sure it was in good shape, then put 15 rounds through it. No jams or FTF, and as you can expect it isn't very accurate past 20 feet. It was made by Star Firearms, and judging by the proof marks and a chart I found online, the gun was made in Spain in 1928. All in all, fun little gun to shoot, and looks like a miniture 1911!
That appears to be a Star model C or CO...Odd that there doesn't seem to be any rollstamp either...or maybe the pics don't show it...
I wonder if you got one that was supposed to get engraved, but got sidetracked by war or something?
Star has always made really nice, reliable pistols
Enjoy it!
Star, Astra and Llama made some great sub compact/compact pistols.
I am always on the outlook for them to add to my collection.
Congratulations on your little beauty.
Hmm, I thought the "B" on it meant it was that series, but I believe big shrek was right saying it's either a C or CO series. I know absoultely nothing about old European sub compact pistols.
