Video - FEG's PA-63 9mm Makarov

FEG's little PA-63 is like James Bond's Walther PPK, but the PA-63 is chambered in 9mm Makarov. Century International Arms imports these little pistols which are fun plinkers that can be used for self-defense with the right ammunition.

Great little guns! I've been building grips for them for several years and still occasionally use one for concealed carry. I actually took my C.C. class with one.

I've always said the PA-63 is a Walther PP with a Hungarian accent. In terms of stopping power, it's ahead of the .380 ACP and perhaps 2/3rds of the way to the 9mm FMJ. With hollowpoint rounds, you have a pistol that makes a good small concealed carry pistol.

I do have to admit, though, that the first time I ever picked one up, what ran through my mind was "Bond. James Bond."

Yup, got one, and a dozen or so boxes of ammo found cheap at a show. Toolman - do you have a website to show your grips? It seems thinner scales would be a nice step to CC work with the little sweetie.

Hey Teach, I had one but made the mistake of trusting Microsoft to stand by their promise (long story) and it was "disappeared". I'm working on building another one, just haven't had a lot of time to work on it.
I may still have a few pics around if I can find them.
FWIW, I've got a set of super-slim grips made from Bubinga that are barely 3\16" thick for my personal gun if I can ever get them finished.

it looks identical to my Polish P-64. I wish the PA 63 was C&R eligable. I love and collect 9mm Makarov pistols. it is really a hot little cartridge and cheap too shoot. so cheap that it is one of the few calibers that I don't re load. from the prices I have seen the PA 63 advertised for, I would buy at least two.

The new Hornady Critical Defense ammo runs great through it. I just switched to that in my PA 63, which I use for CCW.
