Was watching a guy at the gunshow last weekend do a bunch of Glocks , figured I try it so I picked up some rubbing alcohol, Fingernail polish remover (non acetone ) and some white fingernail polish. was pretty easy and I like the results. did my Glock 19 and my new Taurus Poly .357 Magnum

I just did some of mine too Jimbo.
I used the China White Marker aka Grease pencil on mine and they came out great.
Before and After
I've found the grease pencil leaves marks that you have to take special care to get off after you fill the gaps.
I did that with my issue M9 and M-16/203 and when the commander saw it he liked it so much he wanted all the weapons in the arms room done. The arms room NCOIC hated me for a little while after that but oh well he got over it.
Looks good. I didn't know that you could do that with fingernail polish. I use the sticks of stuff from Brownells for just that purpose. I think fingernail polish is a bit cheaper, but I have, red, silver, gold. Zombie green might be a color to use....There is glow in the dark fingernail polish as well.

Yeah I put rings of that stuff around flash lights and such so they are easier to find in black outs. The problem with the glow in the dark fingernail polish is when it's not glowing (in the dark) it looks like old dried up snot.
so what is the purpose of defiling yer weapons finish with paint and crayon etc. explain to me were the cool factor is?
I'd say it's purpose is to make people ask questions. The cool factor is whatever you make of it. Kinda like saying, hey I paid for this, I'll do what I want to with it.
