Due to the success of the rifle caliber thread lets see what everybodys favorite handgun caliber is.
I actually have a couple! For CCW Id have to take the 9x18 Makarov. Just about the hottest thing you can get in guns small enough to actually conceal.
If conceal is not a concern then I am going to go with a 45 acp. or Long Colt.
Followed by the infamous 44 mag.
Always nice to see another Cornhusker
Quite tough one as I tend to find some calibers more enjoyable depending on what I am firing but if I must answer I would say my favorite handgun caliber to shoot is the 45ACP via my 1911s. That said if I am being fair and honest... I have yet to meet a round I haven't enjoyed shooting.
Gotta be 22 lr at the top of the list for me.
Then it's a close one between 45 LC and 44 mag, with 45 lc by a nose.
For autos it's a tie between 9mm para and 45 acp, with the 9mm getting the nod for ccw, and because it's so much cheaper to shoot.
