The 'best' shot to the head, with a full frontal presentation, is just under the nose. It will clip the brain stem. In my day we call it 'postage stamping'. As a sniper in LE this is what we practiced because you get little to no 'jerk' reaction (instant shutdown) with this brain shot.
That said, unless the bandit has his finger on the trigger and he has a weapon pointed at a 'good guy/gal' the point is mute!
I do like this target. Only problem is it can't shoot back!!!

I was told that if you draw a "T" from the eyebrows to the mouth it is an instant stop on a frontal shot. And from a side view just in front of the ear to ear opening will be instant shut down.
With a high powered rifle it is kind of a moot point as it's going to explode like a melon anyways. At least the two that I saw did anyways.
