Best.

outstanding presentation Mr Camp ! as usual..nobody can accuse you of not doing your homework..based on that comparison I'd be better of with the CZ-85 and I voted for the Hi Power already :target:

Hello. Well, thanks. Either of the two are very fine in my opinion.

Best.

Both are fine pistols indeed - I've handled and shot both.
It comes down to personal preference - classic look and feel vs. newer design.

I personally would opt for the Browning, but that's just me.

Browning because there are plenty of normal capacity mags still on the market at low price

For me, it's an easy choice.
The high Power fits my hand. The CZ does not!! The trigger reach is to long on the CZ!!

Both seem to be good pistols. I wouldn't worry too much about mag capacity at this point. Hopefully that will be a bad memory in about three weeks.

Now, let me open a big can worms! Why the 9mm? .40 and .45 seem much better for any self-defense purpose (In my opinion). There was a guy in Pritchard, AL shoot 12 times with a 9mm - he died - the next day! Kinda slow for my taste. Granted I don't where he was shoot, but 12 times? One had to hit somewhere important!

Many other bad stories about 9mm's.

Tell me, am I wrong to think poorly of them? I am open minded.
