Ultimate Spy Gun? :ASP:

http://www.hmss.com/qbranch/qb0101.htm

Scroll down to the ASP. It is a no-nonsense concealed carry pistol meant to stay hidden, and then come out fast and furious. Seems like a pretty effective and simple. I am intrigued by the theory behind the smooth grip. :gangster:

What do you guys think?

Nice idea, but it would never sell in today's market. Look at it this way - back in WWI and for many years after, military weapon systems - tanks, aircraft, guns - were designed to optimse in one specific mission profile.
One of the aircraft I worked on, the F-106, was a superlative high-level interceptor designed for only one purpose -to intercept and destroy high-flying bombers. No tactical strike, no bombing, no patrol, no recon. Period.

Guns were the same way, designed for one primary purpose. When adapted to another mission, it wasn't that good at it.

Nowadays, all weapon systems are designed to have a multi-mission capability. It has to do all things for all people.

I like the ASP. It perfectly fulfills it's designed criteria. But it'll never sell.

Taurus makes a nifty little compact CCW gun, the T145 I think it's called. Polymer framed, .45 ACP - under $400. I'd like to see "James" upgrade to a big bore.
