| Making a buying decision....help Hello All - I'm planning to make my first handgun purchase in the next day or so. I have a ruger 22 and a .38 revolver (inherited) that I play around with occassionally. I'm pretty well set on the ruger p95, but I'm still debating. I've read mostly good things about this gun. Still think the p89 looks nicer, but I've heard bad things about the trigger? Anyone? I'm not hung up on ruger, but am trying to stay around 400 and most definitely can't go more than 5-550. Concealement is not an immediate concern althouth I am thinking about taking the concealed weapons class in January. I'm a long time gun owner and shooter, but I'm fairly new to pistols. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Oh yeah...trying to stay with 9mm due to ammo cost. Thanks - Mitch |

| the ruger is a good little pistol. some can live with the trigger and some cant. i fall into the cant category. it is a long mushy pull. go to a store and pick one up, if you can live with the trigger, it is a good pistol for the money. |

| I like what I can see of the SP21. I'll have to see if I can find one in town to take a look. I take it you've shot this gun? |

| I loved my P95DC. The trigger is heavy, but SA pulls aren't bad. It fired everything I put in it. Hi caps were cheap during the ban. It wasn't finicky about being clean. Accuracy was average but affected most by the trigger. I only got rid of it after I got a CZ85. A friend wanted it and I wanted some cash for another toy. I can still visit it anytime I like. :-)

| Grab a hi-point 9mm....and have enough cash left for a rifle and box of ammo!
