Opinion: Most asthetically pleasing revolver

I think that we should start a parallel thread for revolvers. It probably shouldn't be a poll though, because there are WAY too many contenders.

I myself would lean toward a tastefully engraved Smith & Wesson Schofield or an equally tasteful Colt SAA.

My main carry gun is a Smith Model 640. I like it, but snubbies always look homely to me. I never used to like white guns either, but they are growing on me.

Single or Double action?

Single: Colt peacemaker
Double: Colt Python

This is too easy.

Colt SAA with a 7 1/2" Barrel--box stock with hard rubber grips is nice--engraved, nickel-plated with sambar stag grips would be very nice.

I got to agree with you Oxford, I think they balance nicely, are much stronger than the K-frames and it's too bad they aren't made any more. Here is a pic of my 6" SS with Hogue grips...

My 4" Ruger .357 Mag Security Six, made in 1985, has Pachmayr "Presentation" grips installed. Check out this link. Mine is similar in many ways to the one shown.

I like a a standard blue 6" K-38. A fine gentlemans target revolver.

The Great Divide

I should have started two threads. One for people who watched cowboy pictures, and another for those who grew up on detective pictures.

It's a custom made Newcomb Holster, made by Mr. David Newcomb.
to see more of his work follow this link.

Mr. Newcomb is an older gentlman who is not on the net, but his associate is extreamly helpful can be reached here.

Prices are unbelivably low, would you belive that the holster pictured was $65! That's right $65 bucks for a lined snakeskin inlayed, hand made holster. I love his holsters, and highly recomend them.

Thanks for the link, Smith. Those are some fine holsters. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I will be sincerely flattering that gentleman as soon as I find some snakeskin. I especially like the fleece linings.
