XD9 or G17

Wich one would you take? I am asking in the sense of reliabillity and all around preferences. Concealability is no worry here. Wich name would you feel more comfortable with?

I like xD for concealment and feel.

I really like glock, and would prolly go with the fullsize glock over a full size xD

Make sure you go with an older model glock. The new ones have those finger incisions...which to me don't feel as nice. You can always get some hogue grips for both models and they will help out 110%

and that is what i was thinking. if i needed a concealable weapon i would get the 3 inch xD. but since i am looking into full size i like the glock 17. Also the 19, even though it is slightly smaller

I can't help it, I am biassed towards Springfield. Glock is a good gun though, either way you got a quality gun.

My vote is for the XD9. I have a XD40 so I might be a little biased. Both are excellent guns.

I've heard the same thing about jacketed bullets only through glocks, not sure how true it is.

i wouldnt want to shoot a soft led tipped bullet through a nice gun like a glock anyways

When i fired a glock I didnt pay much attention to the trigger pull. Hows it compared to other common pistols? can you name some handguns that have similar trigger pull?

My Steyr has eaten everything I have ever put through it without a single hiccup, which is everything but Wolf.

But given the choices I'd go XD. If it was in 40 caliber, I'd be even more serious towards the XD over Glock (still of course favoring my Steyr.)

if i remember correctly the Glock has Double action ONLY. will the trigger pull be pretty tough for all the shots yet. i wish i would have payed more attention to that when i test fired it.
