| Senior Member | I hear that Springfield Armory is coming out with a micro sized 1911 pattern pistol, chambered in 9mm, that is supposed to be the size and weight of a PPK/S!!! I read the pre production puff piece in this month's Shooting Times!! It runs about $1200!!! Rather expensive for a 9mm even at Roughbaugh standards!!

| Senior Member | If I were filthy rich I'd buy two. As long as they don't have any functioning problems, they look cool as hell. Edit: Since I'm not wealthy, I think i'll just get one of these for $200, had one once, wish I'd kept it. It worked with any ammo I put through it and had a 9 round capacity. http://taurususa.com/products/produc...ategory=Pistol Last edited by Taurus Fan; 05-16-2008 at 07:10 PM. |

| Senior Member | Kel-Tec is about as good as it gets when you are talking a small lightweight 9mm. They have 2, the P-11 10+1 or 12+1 or the PF-9 7+1. Cobra also makes a copy of the P-11 as does Skyy. Walther also has just released a 9mm similar in size to the Kel-Tec. It all depends on how much you want to spend and whether you want to TRUST your personal defense gun. Kel-Tec and Walther would be my choices and I already have 2 Kel-Tecs. |

| Senior Member | I'd rather have a Springfield EMP for an extra $200 ($1200 for the EMP). Springfield EMP Semiautomatic Pistol |

| Senior Member | I think I would personally rather have a revolver as a backup, since they don't jam and most likely if you are going to use that small of a gun I bet the defense is pretty close and personal. |
