| Mr. Fixit ![]() | 1911 frame needed Do any of you guys know where I can get a scrap or de-milled full-size 1911 frame? I need a frame to mock-up grips on but can't afford to buy a new frame just for that purpose right now. I've tried all the usual suspects-SARCO, Numrichs, etc. Like I said, I only need the grip section and even that doesn't have to be in great shape. Thanks! P.S.-I'm looking to keep the cost as low as possible.

| These don't exist much in the real world. They must be sold to an FFL and then you have to have it deeded to you as if it were a handgun. Get a soft air 1911 for about $60.00 and use it. |

| Mr. Fixit ![]() | Thanks for the suggestions guys. I had thought about the 80% frame as Sarco was advertising some a while back. I wasn't sure if the Airsoft guns were that close to the real thing or just approximations. I've ran across frames in the past at gunshows that were basically chopped in half but they seem to have dried up and I never found a 1911.
