Hey knightRider, check out Classic Arms Inc., they have a nice one and they've also done a custom version with the slide hard-chromed for an additional amount.

Thumbs up

My shooting buddy here at work has an RIA .45 pistol. He traded in a cantankerous NEW Springfield Armory .45 that just would not shoot a decent group. The RIA has proven accurate and reliable - a good service pistol. Sometimes more dollars DON'T buy a better gun!

I have seen some of these that are great and others that where lousy. That being said I have seen lousy Kimbers. I would try one if I needed another 1911.
