OK folks, Just looking for ideas as to what you think I should buy the wife. She is a little bit of a thing (only 4' 9"). She does not like the kick of the .375 and the .45 is a bit heavy for her too, the 9's are a bit thick for her little hands and I am not a fan of the 25's, or the 380's. I was almost thinking of getting a Taurus PT22 or the Ruger Mark 2. I am on the road a bit and want her to feel safe but still handle it for that second round hit. |

I'd put a 22 ahead of a 25, but wonder why the 380 is out. Some 380s like the Bersa are excellent for smaller hands and CCW.

I resently picked up a Wather P22 for my wife. She has fell in love with it one night when we were at the gun store and I ended up getting it for her. It is nice and small and has no kick to it. Now she bugs me about when is the next time we are going to the range.

Let us know how reliable the P22 is. Most have found it not very reliable.

From you describing your lady and her dislikes, I'd say a wheel gun in 22 Magnum.
