| Online gun shops?
Hey y'all, Just wondering if you guys know of any good online gun stores other than impactguns and budsgunshop...? I've grown fond of Buds since they seem to have the cheapest prices I've seen, but do you guys know of any other places that sell handguns at cheaper prices? |

Try gunrunners.com out of Anchorage, Alaska. I am friends with the owner and he has some good deals sometimes and comes up with some unique stuff... Rich

'preciate it, Moose!! Seems like he has a lot of stuff, and cheaper than usual it seems as well; but, for the gun I'm likely going to buy, Buds has it for more than $50 cheaper, brand new. It's $399 *like new* at gunrunner - $347 new at buds. I'm basically trying to make sure I find the best deal possible before I buy. I've been to three (going to the fourth today) local gun shops, and they're all AT LEAST $50 more expensive. As it stands right now, Bud's has the upper hand, but, again, I want to check all, or as many, options as I can before I pay this much money. |

You might consider, if you haven't already, that most or all of the online gun dealers will charge shipping and handling, and you may have to pay a local FFL to accept the purchase which generally runs around $20-$25. I've found in the long run it about evens out.

If I can find a good gun shop, I tend to buy there. I'll check prices online before my purchase and, as long as its close, I try to patronize the local shops. I do this for a couple of reasons: Better service. Especially if there's a problem down the line. Also, the advice is often worth a little extra. A good gun shop knows what guns work and which ones come back. I want them to stay open. A good gun shop kind of serves the same function as a salon does for women. A good place to hang out, catch up on gossip, and tell lies. I can browse the selection and put my grubby mitts on stuff before I buy. I can't think of the number of times I went in sure that I wanted gun X only to spot something much better in one of the cases. |

We pay way too much shipping to buy online. Unless it's just not available here, or I find a smoking deal, I tend to buy locally.

| "In Fla you don't pay sales tax on something deliv.....
That's great if you don't. Here where I live the FFL receiving the purchase not only charges the fee but charges the state sales tax. A KelTec the FFL ordered for me at a price of $229 (which I later sold at a $80 loss) ended up being $290 delivered. Maybe I better look at Bud's Gun Shop, $75-$100 discounts sound too good to be true on the small markup there is on firearms. $30 is also the fee my FFL charges for receiving the purchase.

| Buds Gunshop doesn't charge shipping
Yes he does, he posts there is a $25.00 charge S&H on all firearms and blackpowder weapons. Go into www.gunbroker.com and run item #104031674. I didn't check his price of $313.00 on a Bersa Thunder 9mm with one hi-cap mag. |

I went to gunrunners.com. They have a Raven pistol there for $125, It's kind of funny because I have one and I only paid $25 for it 10 years ago or so.
