.22 lr in pistol or rifle are an inexpensive way to hone shooting fundamentals and just plain having fun to ignore a 22 is to deprive oneselfs of one of the easiest and most economical of the shooting sports. Enjoy them and learn then move forward but never forget the pleasure of busting cans off a fence post with a simple iron sighted 22....
