Man what a price difference!

Just priced a new Springfield Armory 1911A1 Loaded Model PX9104LP (Bi-Tone Lightweight) at Gander Mountain. They wanted $999.95. Same gun at a large but privately owned gunshop about 70 miles away was only $765.00. Seems that Gander is really marking 'em up! Looks like a road trip this Saturday.

Gander Mtn.

Have you noticed everything is way high at Gander. I bought some powder at gander and they charge $ 20.00 extra on every pound. I can buy a hundred pounds on the net and only get charged that $ 20.00 once for a haz fee, not on every pound. Has anyone else noticed their high prices yet ?

I think it just depends on what your looking for. Maybe they have to make up for the low prices on other items by marking some things up?

I did see the same deal on the FN 5.7. At Gander Mtn, they were $1100. At a private gun shop, they had two for about $800.

Maybe, except I didn't see any low prices.

gander mountain is usually a minimum of 10% overpriced on anything to do with guns.

I don't care for G.M. as they are way overpriced and their reloading selection blows. I bought a set of pilots for my Lyman case trimmer and they cost me $14.00. When I stopped @ Cabelas a few days later the same set was around $11.00. I've seen some good deals on used guns but, there again, some are just stupid, ie: basic Ishevsk 91\30 M\N w\ mismatched nmbrs for $189.95 when you can buy a nice matching Tula for under $100 almost anywhere.
