The Lord kept him safe though...how amazing is it that his gun jammed!

He owes his guardian angel a big hug for that one!

I must've missed where anyone called sam a "coward" for anything he said. I know I didn't.

If those were your personal experiences in Nam that you went on about sam, first, thanks for your service. Secondly, I was there too, and couldn't wait to get back to the World. We're back in the World now though Bro, time to let it go. Seems like you might be keeping your wounds fresh, or picking at the scabs, not letting them heal. Nam was Nam. My personal belief is that we had no business being there. Now we're not only back in *The* World, but we're in our world, where we have every right and reason to defend it against all threats, both foreign and domestic. The animal in the video in this thread was a threat to our domestic tranquility, and any harm that would come to him if any of us bloodthirsty torturers had gotten him in our sites, would've flowed directly from his own actions. I respect your opinions, but believe strongly that you've targeted the wrong group of people for your derision. Everything anyone has said in this thread would never have been said if that murderous cretin had a conscience or a trace of humanity in his soul. Your outrage should be directed towards him, not us. If someone else's outrage towards this kind of barbarism invokes such vivid memories of your time in the trenches, then you're still there in your mind Bro. C'mon back home to The World. Leave The Nam where it belongs; in the sh!tpile of history.

See, I disagree. I have a friend in corrections, and I like the thought of this guy spending the next 6 decades or so in prison. I'm sure the COs would be very nice to him.

But he survived a ballistic fracture to C1 at point blank range? I hope he went and thanked every deity and saint he can think of.

He looks good, too. No significant scarring or apparent neuromuscular damage from the injury.

And just to pile on, of course I'd do my level best to kill the shooter if I stumbled across something like this. He's obviously an immediate threat to my life and is certainly one to the LEO. There are just too many risks in trying to get him to surrender or subdue him at that point.

BluesStringer:Isnt it wonderful that there are people like you who know nothing about another persons life and still have the great ability to tell them how to live their life. The only reason I mentioned Nam was to state that in the heat of combat things happen and mistakes are made.As to my life,it would be impossible to go through that and not have to make adjustments in civil life but I did that years ago.I may not need any help there but could you help me financially so I can afford more guns and ammo? You gave such knowledgible anallisis on something you knew nothing about, maybe you do know something about finances and can save me in that field as that is what really bothers me.Thank you ahead of time.Oh as to whether we belonged in Nam,I feel that I did or GOD and my country wouldnt have asked me to be there.I suppose you believe that is wrong and can enlighten me there too. sam.
