Oh my, to me tec 9 are junk!!!!!!!! I have never fired one that didnt fail at least once, and I never fired one that was accurate. Out of the 2 Glock is better. However I do not like Blocks ooops I mean glocks. My first semi hand gun was a glock in .40 cal, I thought I was a decent shot with it. It turned out that I was just shooting around people that were worse shots than me lol. One day a man said hey try this colt 1911, and wow I went from a 2' circle patern at 20 yards and shrunk it down to about the size of a grapefruit just by changing guns. I couldnt afford a colt so I bought a Springfield 1911 military eddition next (Oh yeah I sold the glock). Then I sold the springfield to buy a Colt and I love my gun. I take 50 yard shots all the time with it. LOVE COLT |

I'm sure that somewhere at a point in history when we could form a consensus of opinion on handguns. That doesn't seem to be the norm anymore, but rather, the exception. For me this forum is getting more and more difficult to follow. Some of you responders are actually dangerous because of your general lack of knowledge, and invalid assumptions about guns in general and handguns in particular.
I have a modest collection of high quality handguns that has taken me many years to assemble. All of my pistols and revolvers have stood the test of time, and are proven in various scenarios.
Yet, some of you seem to think your are experts because you own one or two POS hanguns, and have been lucky enough to avoid serious injury while shooting some piece of crap and getting away with it.
There should be some type of basic test given before some of you are allowed to post your ridiculous comments.
Fire away!

Good point. Asking about carrying a tec-9 for concealed carry should have been the tip-off.
Tec-9's and their ilk are a strange concept and they don't do anything better than a standard hi-cap pistol except take up a lot more space doing it. I have always thought they were a n00B choice, like a Mac-10, etc.

A few years back in my Dept. we had cops concealing weapons much like the tec-9 and probably the tec-9. I guess you could throw it on a shoulder sling and hang it under a jacket. Kind of stupid but it would work.

It's not that, I'm just wary about their "positive trigger block", even with the half cocked striker a malfunction could be disastrous. Besides, I don't like to go off "half cocked".lol

I'd keep the tec 9 because it's not manufactured anymore. You can always buy a glock later. Here a picture of mine. you know where I can buy parts for it just in case if things start breaking down later?
