the warranty was the major selling point for the purchase dropped my other gun out the tree stand and got mad and ruined a whole day of hunting. and i want to be able to keep one in the truck. and if it continues to perform like it did the other day may even carry it part time until i get another one.

My C9 really likes the Winchester 115gr white box ammo....Just came back from my local Meijers store. They are not reordering handgun ammo....just rifle and shotty...I cleaned off the shelf of all the whitebox 9mm...got 750 rds for $100 with tax....

I have also thought about getting a High Point 9mm carbine. I looked at a 9mm Hi Point Carbine once and it seemed like it was hard to move the safety off and on, has anyone else had that problem? It may had been just that gun. How good are are the High Point Carbine's?

| With todays high-performance 9mm JHP ammo you get an accurate & sufficiently powerful defensive round, one fired from a handgun that is smaller, lighter, produces less recoil, has a higher magazine capacity and is easier to carry than its larger caliber brother. Generally Speaking..........

I bought a Hi Point 9mm Carbine for myself for Christmas and just shot again over the weekend. I just love shooting it and I love having other people shoot it even more! I'm thinking about getting Hi Point pistol but I don'tt hink it wil be my next gun purchase-not because I don't want another Hi Point, I just don't really want another pistol. If they come out with a 45 carbine I'll probably be on it!

I guess if your Hi Point handgun ever jamed, you could always pick it and throw at them and knock them out. |

I have the Hi-Point 380 & it's fun to shoot & quite accurate. I have the 8 round mag and the 10 round mag, they both work fine. The gun is quite accurate. Accuracy? Try shooting golf balls! I toss 4 or 5 out & it doesn't take long till they are gone... over the bank, at the local range. Yes, more expensive than 9mm but still a lot of fun to shoot. After the first clip, NEVER a misfire or malfunction! It's a RELIABLE gun! I also have a Browning Buckmark 22, for "cheap" plinking. |

I have owned 2 HP's, one I bought years ago & then sold to my old man, and one I bough tfor my wife. I loved them both. She had a hard time moving the slide, and never liked the way it felt, so we sold it & bought a Ruger P95 & never looked back. Never once in eather gun had one single falure of any kind. Both were reasonably accurate. Odd thing is, my absolute FAVORATE handgun of all the many many handguns I have owned is my current carry gun, and OLD Walther P-38 ! This thing is a Tackdriver! And since I have bought it, the gun shop keeps wanting it back. Something is up with that. Hmmmmmmmm................

ive heard nothing but good things about hi-point from people who know what they are talking about ive even read articles claiming it to be a decent carry gun, i personally wouldnt think so but hey, cheap, lifetime warranty, reliability, and god awful appearance, whats not to like |

a couple of years ago i bought a couple of HP 9mm's. one for me one for dad. then i got a HP .45. biggest factor was price but i liked the guns. out the door with 2 nines for 200 bucks. sold the 45 and one of the 9s, got in a bind for cash as many of us do. they shoot fine but ugly as sin. still have a 9, carry it in the truck. only complaint i have is difficulty to strip it to clean.

yeah im starting to want to buy a hi-point pistol again instead of a short barrel shotgun. i cant afford both even at the cheap prices of the shotguns and hi-points. still cant decide on with a hi-point if i want a 9 or a .45

well, i can tell you this. the 45 is alot bigger, louder and kicks more. but nothing major. as for a short barrell shot gun, i picked up a brand new H & K single shot 20 for like 60 bucks. asked a game warden the legal length of a barrell here in louisiana which is 18 inches and i immediatly cut it off at 18 1/2 for slack.
