Ambidextrous 1911 Pistols?

Are there ambi 1911 style pistols out there? If there are, does anyone know who makes them, and do they cost heaps? I have a left handed friend that doesn't know a lot about pistols, and wants to get a handgun soon. He is thinking a 1911 style in the .45ACP.

I know there are ambi thumb safties, so no problems there. However, can the slide release be fitted for a left handed person, and also the magazine release?

Basically I am was wondering if there are guns made in a standard full-sized 1911 style that have all of the operating features of the pistol on the right side of the gun, instead of the left.

Or does it have to be custom made with everything on the right side of it and all the notches and stuff put in the slide for the slide stop, etc. Or can after market parts be bought so everything can be operated from the right side of the gun in the hand of a left handed shooter?

I thought I found a ambi mag release that could be pushed from the right side to release the mag, but I wasn't sure.

Any info or experience in the matter would be appreciated! Thanks.
