| CZ83: Dumping of Surplus Weapons?
I heard at my favorite gun store that about 2000 CZ83 pistols (a Czech made blowback, typically .380, 9 mm Makarov, or .32 ACP) were dumped on the market as police surplus -- many of them unfired. Indicated prices were ~$125. Can anyone confirm this? p.s. - don't get too excited, people: this is a great plinking gun and is fairly accurate but my experience with one says that you would not care to have one in a serious situation. Thanks (similar post on Czech page) |

dumping surplus firearms... sounds like a hysterical liberal phrase...I would rephrase it...

Technically, the CZ 83 is the commercial model; the military/police version is the CZ 82 (9x18 only). Since the Czech National Police and military are switching over to 9mm, it makes sense that some of these will eventually pop up somewhere... I haven't heard anything myself.
