Sigma 9mm

Well my dad after realizing that he no longer knew where his Ruger 9mm ended up, been about 5 yrs since he used it, went out and bought a S& W sigma 9mm two-tone. I must say for the price, it seemed like a pretty nice pistol. I think he got out for right at 300 before the $50 rebate. So 9mm plus 4 hi-cap mags for $250. The trigger felt a little stiff but it is a brand new gun. Im interested to see how this thing performs at the range. Anyone else have one of the new sigmas? I told he to go buy a couple boxes of the WWB 100cts. Hopefully he will so I dont have to buy any ammo He even put himself on a wait list for the .380 version. I think he should get the .380, use the rebate, sell it and the mags, and buy maybe a bersa and a box of ammo.

Sigma's have an MSRP of $450+, depending on model, but I see them on special like yours for $250, I've even heard of "buy one Smith & Wesson, get a Sigma for $99". What's up with that?

The S&W Sigmas have a lot of people who hate them, but they are good guns for the price. I got mine for $299 a year and a half ago. The big complaint about them is that they have a heavy trigger. It does get better, but it takes time. I have put around 2,000 rounds through my Sigma 9mm and the trigger is much better than when I first got it. S&W designed them for cheap defensive weapons, so don't expect the worlds best accurancy, but it should go boom every time you pull the trigger.

And the deal for the "buy one S&W, get a Sigma for $99," I believe that is only when you buy the S&W M&P AR-15.

I have an original S&W 9C, the original SWOCK (Smith's copy of the Glock). It is a fine pistol though the trigger is a bit heavy in the beginning.

I don't think the trigger got any lighter with use, I think your finger just got stronger.

I agree with Taurusfan on this one. I think all fingers adapt to heavier triggers, especially if your use to shooting guns with light/lighter triggers

Possibly, but I have shot other peoples Sigmas that have put much fewer rounds through it than I have put through mine and there's were much heavier. There are also some local gun smiths that have been offering some trigger mods that will lighten them.
