New S&W 1911

Yesterday afternoon I picked up my NIB S&W 1911A1 from a local gun store. Slide to frame match-up are very good and quality is evident in this stainless pistol. Although it is a single stack the pistol appears a tad bit wider than any of my other 1911s ? My group usually goes to the local range on Tuesday so tomorrow will be it's first real test.

Any experiences you members care to share re the S&W 1911A1 ??

Thanks

Doc

Good pistol. Trigger fit left something to be desired, but it shot OK.

Back from the range. Only shot 25 rounds from 15 yards. All rounds within a 2" circle on a C-more target. The pistol shot a little high and a little left with out-of-the-box sights. The trigger, hopefully, will break-in smoother than I experienced today. All in all I'm very satisfied with the new S&W. No FTF or FTE .
