Tanfoglio tz75 Anybody know aboutTanfoglio TZ75 series 88, All my life it's been long guns and shotguns - now I have 2 handguns one which needs a gunsmith's attention (speed six that's a little loose on the cylinder lock up and a 9mm that won't feed. Thing is I have grown fond of shooting handguns after all these years. The 9mm luger was an inheratence. I have disassembled it and cleaned it. It will not feed more than 2 rounds of HP ammo. It's a Tanfoglio TZ75 series 88. Here's the question am I going to have to shoot ball ammo or is there a HP it will feed? Or is this gun just no good at all? Help greatly appreciated ammo get's expensive!

The TZ75 is a copy of the CZ75 which are actually great guns. I'm not sure why yours could be having ssues with feeding, have you checked to make sure the feed ramp isn't damaged? Also, what exactly is it doing? Is it haveing trouble extracting the spent case or is it not feeding the next round? Also, I have noticed that with my CZ75 if you limp-wrist it too much it can have issues feeding. Oh, and welcome to G&G!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply - it will feed fmj but doesn't want to feed jhp at all. The next round will not feed. Think maybe with the right ammo it might. The gun has some ware but the feed ramp looks good. I have a tendance to hang on pretty well from shooting the 45-70 ruger. Any suggestions on ammo type? I would preffer to shoot JHP for defense. Don't really want to end up with a lot of partial boxes of ammo. Thanks again!

| You may just need to tune the magazine. You might try a different magazine as well.

Cheap castings, some copies are good shooters but its kind of a lottery. You got the pistol free, find what kind ammo it likes and shoot it. I wouldn't use it for self defence though.

tz75 I have one and have found that it doesnt like all magazines. I would try a couple of different ones untill you find a couple that work. Mine is 9mm but I also have the 41 action express barrel and magazine. I have found it to be very acurate and trouble free as long as I dont use the 2 magazines that it doesnt like. I shoot rutinely a 2 1/2 pattern of 16 rounds at 25 yards and have no problem ringing the gong at 300 yards. But I have been shooting handguns for 45 years. I also ring the gong at 300 yards with my charter arms 2 1/2 inch 44 special bulldog. It seems to wake everyone up at the range. I routinely shoot 300 rounds of 9mm in my tz75 twice a month. Hope this helps. God Bless you all. Gene
