I just got this pistol in, in need of repair. The problem is, none of my manuals cover saturday night specials, which is what I consider this piece to be. Anyone got a manual, or where to find info on this clunker? I hate to let a man down, just because he can't afford nything better, so I'd appreciate any links, etc. Thanks, Scotty

"Date: 11/23/2006 900 AM From Authorid: 943 I have a Lorcin 25 semi-auto. I pulled out my disassembly for it. Maybe it will work for you. It says, the gun must be in unloaded, uncocked and in fire position before takedown can be performed. To remove the slide, use a blunt object to push the take down button, located on the back end of the slide, forward until it stops (about 1/8 inch). While holding the take down button depressed, gently lift the slide away from the Frame until it stops. Release the take down button gently as it is spring loaded. Hold the rear of the slide up and push the slide forward, off of the end of the gun. This procedure removes the entire slide assembly and is sufficient for normal cleaning and oiling. Clean the barrel within a reasonable period of time after shooting. After the powder has been removed, give the barrel bore a light protective coat of oil. Hope this helps. "

This clunker is broke. I've looked for a manual, and so far zilch. That's what I hate about these cheap guns, they build a bunch of 'em, sell 'em, and then no service manuals are ever produced to take care of 'em. Well, that'll get me started, maybe it's just filthy.

yeah, thats unfortunate. Even an inexpensive gun should work...A buddy of mine has a 22 short revolver valued at approx $5; works flawlessly. Can't even hit the ground with the thing, but it works. Good luck man

Now I have to call your bluff on that. Just due to gravity you will hit the ground sometime unless Billy with his sniper pirate pistol is standing in the way.

I had one and it functioned pretty well. Mine was a .25 auto though. Takedown was....well, weird. I had to use the eraser end of a pencil.

Don't do it, I bought a lorcin .380 for my first handgun when I was 22 years old. Jammed 3 times on every magazine. Now if you can get one for $50.00 and you are expecting a piece of junk, than go for it. Just expect problems from the get go.

Well, it's fixed! It stayed on my mind all day, and I finally made a new extractor spring for it, tweaked the magazine, so it wouldn't fall out, and the damn thing shoots again. Never seen anything so poorly designed, or built. Hope I never see another!
