The .25 ACP exists because John Browning could not get the .22 ammunition of the time to function an auto pistol reliably. The .25 was literally designed around the small pistol primer. We don't have this problem with modern ammunition.

Ravens are junk. Not worth a penny. I don't permit them in my pistol courses.

youd be better throwing it at them i think

back in the day, i read a book about how 30s era gangsters would either have a knife or a .25 handgun as their last ditch weapon....the knife was sometimes better

either way 50 bucks isnt bad, youd get what you pay for, id pick it up just because, thats what i would do

How many of you here have actually used a Raven?
The one I used was fine.
There are similar guns from different companies, such as Davis, that don't work so well.

If you must have a .25acp, look into Beretta for a quality gun.
+1

Had a R25 years ago. Very stiff trigger pull (maybe 15 pounds +) for a SA auto. Cheap gun, but it went bang....Didn't have alot of FTF that I can recall; accuracy OK but not stellar. Better than nothing at all, but I'd spend more money and get a better gun.

I'd look at at either a ruger 22 auto or a smith 22 revolver (317) (or other .22 revolver of some sort). It's worth the extra $. Cheaper to shoot, as if not more reliable, more fun, more accurate, better ammo choices, better for everything. Don't think a R25 for $50 is an especially good deal myself.

Very accurate.

No offense to choco in anyways when i say this, but from MY personal experience, the only people whom Ive ever seen with a raven were crack dealers and other criminal "thugs" who wanted a cheap (and when I say cheap, I mean CHEAP) little pocket pistol so they could have something that passes as a gun. There is a reason who ever is selling you that gun only wants $50 for it.
If you watch enough Cops episodes I think my own experiences will be confirmed elsewhere in the US too lol.

And to be honost choco is the first person ive ever heard of that has had anything good to say about them. But if his Raven works for him all the more power to him.

Its quality so poor Personally I would be afraid to shoot one lol. If you want a $50 paperweight go buy it lol.

I wouldn't go that far, TACAV. I read of a case where a kid in self-defense killed his and his mother's would-be killer with a R-25. They might not be alive today if they didn't have this (and the kid's presence of mind, courage, and determination). I had one years ago and thought it to be junky (certainly not dangerous to fire but a very heavy trigger pull and I wouldn't bet my life on it), but it did go bang and was OK in accuracy for a tiny pistol of its "caliber." It's a cheap pistol, but if it's all you got or can afford it's better than nothing.

Who are you,Zumbo?
You're acting like it is a gun exclusively for criminals?

No, and as I said, no offense to you, and I made that comment based on MY personal expirience. Of all the people Ive ever met either at the range, working, friends or family Ive seen 4 or 5 Ravens. And all of them happened to be criminals. No that doesnt mean the gun is exclusively for criminals and I dont think you are a criminal lol. thats just my own experience and nothing more.
