| Senior Member | Fanny Pack Holster I just posted this in the "Holster Forum" but I think this forum gets more readers so I am putting it out here too. Anyone have any experience with a fanny pack holster? I have seen them on line and the whole idea looks pretty good. Hold and hide your gun and have room for magazine, car keys, cell phone etc. Looks like something that would be perfect for me on my late night roller blade rides. I'd like to hear from people who have used them. |

| Lost in the Ozone Again ![]() | I've used a fanny pack holster on occasion for my 340 PD, my .44 bulldog (it also fits my 3" UL judge, but it's a tight fit). Usually, it's when I'm bike riding, walking around the neighborhood, or during the hot summer here and I'm a slug in a t-shirt and old man shorts/sweats (but still want to carry). The key advantage is it's convenient, and, with a light gun, pretty unobtrusive when working out. Mine have been the cheaper ones, which you need to unzip to get to the gun--this is less than optimal. If you can find the quick access ones these are better. Mine have been kind of an afterthought when buying other holsters at Cabelas. The good thing is that, since they're easy to put on, you'll have a gun and not be lazy. The downside is getting to the gun is harder (but at least it's there). Some think they scream "gun" but they also scream "geek" as much, so to me that's not an issue
