Given that the question is basically "which gun would you be if you were a gun instead of a human", and this is the handgun forum, I would say any well made .357 magnum, 6" barrel. Most of the time quiet, easy to get along with, happy go lucky, not offensive to most people, etc. in .38 target load mode. BUT, you really don't want to be the one who ticks me off and makes me use the +P stuff. Does anyone make a gun like the HULK?

Model 94 30.30. Practical...not fancy but does the job...cool looking...inexpensive(some are)...proven in the field...may need new blueing and have a few dents...don't under estimate it's ability to do what it's intended for...low maintenance costs

Ok, since we are in the Handgun forum, I would be happy to pack a repro 1851 Colt steel framed .44 caliber. A bit of history, cheap, sturdy, easy to get your hands on, big lead balls and 7 1/2 long...

A Mosin-Nagant M39. Solid, but seen as the underdog. Not quite as long as its big brothers. Smooth, 100% reliable. Quiet and happy until it needs to be loud. Not afraid to get dirty. A mix of elegance and simplicity. |

That's a really interesting question when one actually thinks a lot about it. There are a number of arms that own and/or carry, but I had to put some thought into what gun really fits my personality. I've taken two Facebook quizzes about firearms. The one called "Which firearm will you use when the zombies rise?" said I would take the Cheytac .408 Sniper system. The one called "Which kind of gun are you?" said I am a SPAS 12 Shogtun. Personally, I think I'm more of a 5-shot .357Magnum revolver (Ruger SP101 or such). Eerily enough, the reasoning behind that selection is almost, verbatim, identical to what DaTeacha said above, "Most of the time...easy to get along with, happy go lucky, not offensive to most people, etc. in .38 target load mode. BUT, you really don't want to be the one who ticks me off and makes me use the" .357 Magnum stuff. I do, however, want a SPAS 12 and a Barrett 50 cal. (my personal selection over the Cheytac .408) because those are two awesome firearms. So I've added those two to my Christmas list since those all-knowing Facebook quizzes told me I should have them. |
