Smith & Wesson Model 65/4" barrel and a Smith& Wesson Model 64/3" barrel on opposite sides of the bed. Both are loaded with Remington JHP .38 special +P loads. My wife is still not used to auto pistols so we will keep things compatible for now. Further, we also keep the Browning BPS w/26" barrel loaded with 00 standard buckshot out of the vault at night because it is the shortest shotgun we have and it has a top tang safety that anybody can remember to use quickly. We also have a new home alarm system that works great.

Um, no there isn't.

I keep a Beretta 90-Two next to the bed with 15 rounds in the magazine, but with an empty chamber. This includes the attached Surefire lamp and laser sight.

Within reach on the nightstand...

Glock 32 with night sights and a tried and true 1911 that was issued to my grandfather in WWII.

Not sure which I would reach for first. I like the capacity of the glock, and .357 sig hollow points are great, but is there really any substitute for a .45?

Oh, and a 12 gauge pump under the bed for measure.

How many shots do you need?
2 to the chest, 1 to the head, makes the boogyman dead.

Sig 232 (380 auto), full mag, empty pipe, and a Ruger Sec. Six with 2 38's and 4 357s' in the thing that goes around under the mattress--just for the occasional zombie.

Nothing under the pillow, too easy to shoot the wife while I'm 1/2 asleep, but I have a 20ga coach gun and a S&W 4" 686 behind my dresser. But I'll probably turn the dogs loose first, so all I have to do is put them away and call the cops, and maybe shoot the survivors.

.40 XDM fully loaded including the chamber and 18" Pistol Grip 12 Gage Remmington with 00 Buck under the bed. Another 12 Gage by the front door with rotating bird shot then 00 buck. Living room has a .44 Mag Red Hawk in one end table and .45 Millennium by the TV. Did I mention my 1911 in my office. The list goes on and I hope burglars all over are reading this. Some of us "Helpless Citizens" will shoot if we must. You will not find any point in my home that there isn't a loaded gun within 12 feet.
