If you could put one handgun of yesteryear back into production, what would it be?

Which discontinued gun deserved a longer production run? For me, it's:

The Colt New Service. It came in a myriad of calibers, from .455 Eley and .45 Colt to .38 special, .357 Magnum and .22 LR. It was big, tough and meaty, and yet many concealable "Fitz" specials were made from this frame. As it came it was rugged and reliable and simple to learn to shoot right. No adjustable sights, no external safeties, no complex whizzbangs or gizmos to attach to it, just a good, solid revolver. I for one, miss this baby.

The .45 S&W hand ejector 2 that Indiana Jones carried...they had a limited run through the custom shop, but it'd be nice in a regular run at a reasonable price!

First Generation Harry Sanford designed Automag, in all three of it's proprietary calibers - .25JAMP, .357JMP and .45AMP.

Colt Python. IMHO best revolver ever produced. Fit me well, shot straight.

The Ortgies Pistol, but chambered in 9mm Parabellum. It was only available in .25 ACP, .32 ACP and .380 ACP. What I love about that pistol is that the entire backstrap is the safety. If you grasp it tightly, the way you would in a personal defense situation, you're ready to fire because you'll have disengaged the safety.

Since this is in the Handgun section, my wish is for the Colt 1903!

here are my choices i could not get it to one
1. Broomhandle mauser and in 45
2 the old triple lock S&W in 44 and 45 (special, acp, long colt, and they could make a mag now too)
3. the big colt revolvers like the 1917 in acp and long colt etc.

Why has no one mentioned putting the Colt SAA back into mass production at a good price? For most Americans, it is THE classic handgun, the great equalizer, the long arm of the law, etc. etc.

God may have created all men, but Samuel Colt made them equal.
