Looks like they re-tooled the FNP a bit

FNP9-17 DA/SA

Hmm, that one in the picture looks like it has a manual safety, if that were available in my area I would really be interested. Hammer fired, manual safety - I dig it.

The safety is definitely an up grade from the standard FN9P. A little more user friendly than my USG model with saftey.
FNP-9, DA/SA, USG
If you damage the rail, it's repalceable as well onm the new model.

Is this like the Ruger SR9 Trying to make something else to compete with the Glock 17?

Its a DA/SA but whats the difference between "uncocked" and decocked?

Coming from an HK/Sig fan usually those two are the same. Does the safety dual act as a decocker like on an HK?

on the USG the it was a safety/decocker. could be carried cocked and locked and you could use the safety to also decock if you pushed it past down the unactivated position

ahh I see, like on the HK guns.

carry safety off or on decocked in DA or carry cocked and lock with safety on.

if you look on their sight they have a FNP9-17 DA/SA and a FNP9-17 DA/SA manual safety. I think the former has the same lever as the latter but it is a de-cocker only and the latter is a de-cocker and safety.

I really liked the other version of their handgun. It was on the list of guns to get but others come before it on the list.
