They do have stuff on backorder every now and again, but they've always said so before I order and give me a chance not to order them. Then they update when they're available and when they are available they ask again if I want it. Course my experience is limited to the past 2-3 years. They probably improved a lot with time.

I've had friends who've ordered from them since and have run into the same issues I did.. A buddy waited 7 months for an order of 7.62x39 ammo to get filled. When he called the order in, they told him it'd be a week before it came in..
Then, for the next month, and every month after that, they told him it would ship in a week..
He was going to cancel the order, but it became a game and he wanted to see how long it was really going to take. This was just a couple years ago..
Again, I'm not telling someone to or not to use them. They burnt me more than once and I'll never recommend them again..
Oh, and I found a slightly used Yankee Hill YHM-9584 for $55... $6 shipping.. On Ebay!!

Just got lucky enough to find a slightly used one from a regular seller with good feedback..
Truthfully, I doubt if I'll ever need the BUS's.. I have a lot of faith in the Eotech, but something told me to cover my butt if the Eo ever fails.
I think it's the same something that told me to actually have a couple loaded handguns hidden in acccesable places in my house, as I'd feel pretty stupid if I ever were to need one and have it locked in the safe.
Since I live alone, I don't have to worry about young fingers finding a loaded weapon..
And again, thank you and everyone!!

I have one of the MI front sights for a gas block somewhere around here that I'm not using. If your other deal doesn't work out for whatever reason, hit me up via pm.

Thanks for the offer!!

I just got my magpul rear sight today! Love this thing. I decided to keep the original front sight base(one reason is bushmaster must have epoxied the pins in or something. Durn things won't move). Since I'm never gonna put a scope on a 16 inch barrel upper, I figure it couldn't hurt.

Yea same here Ive ordered from them a couple times and when stuff is said to be in stock its in stock, I recently ordered some ammo that was labeled as on back order with an estimated date. Later after my order the ammo company pushed back the expected availability date.
sportsmanguide wont charge you until your order ships. They sent me an email with the new estimate and gave me the choice to cancel my order or keep on waiting. again Im not charged until it ships. I can always cancel my order if I get tired of waiting.
All that is supposedly part of new FTC regulations.

I don't care if they give hugs, kisses and a reach around with every purchase, they'll never see another dime from me.. The old "Fool Me Once" issue..
I'll also never order an item that's "sponsored" by the NRA.. Got bit for $30 about 25 years ago when I didn't have $30 to throw away.. It was a NRA sponsored pistol range bag and part of the proceeds went to the NRA The company that was selling them went out of business.. I needed a range bag and was proud to have part go to the NRA. The NRA told me that they were sorry, and the company that went out of business told me nothing..
I went about 20 years without sending any money towards NRA..
Good thing I don't hold a grudge..

Back to the sight issue..
Today, my Yankee Hill sight arrived.. Couldn't be happier with it's "used" condition.. Couple very minor scuffs, at most..
And you guys were SPOT ON with your recommendations!!!
Before
After
And the size is more appealing, too!!
It doesn't match the rest of the furniture perfectly, but then again, my socks don't match, either..
Again, thanks to everyone!!!
