I think your right jmp, it looks like a standard steyr scout.
I think its pretty cool, id have to mount a regular scope, personal preference.
I would like one in 5.56 or 7.62 nato, they seem to be pretty expensive though.

If I remember correctly they were offered in 308 and 376 Steyr. I really hate that the 376 didn't get chambered in more rifles. I also thought the case would make for some neat wildcats but do not recall any.

yep a styer scout. Expensive, but styer makes a quality rifle.

MR - where you come up with such a beauty? Can you give us some more details? What caliber, is it for sale, is it new, what kind of condition? I've ALWAYS wanted a Steyr Scout!

Yep, steyr scout. I have admired those very rifles quite a few times. Just never end up on the buying end .
