First time poster looking for some info on a rifle i purchased last week.
It is a Parker-Hale Midland 30/06 cal. The rego papers state that it is a 2600 model. I havnt been able to find much at all about the rifle. It hasMidland Sun co Made in England running down the barrel from the flip up iron sight.
Could anybody confirm for me if the model # is correct? also if you no when its buid date is?
I have included some pics of the rifle. I removed the stock and have attached a pic of the emblem. All the emblems i have seen for this rifle have a cross through them...this one does not.
Appreciate any help i can get with this.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply mate. I checked out your link....no address or phone number that i could find. From what i understand they no longer are trading.
Parker Hale rifles are built on 98 Mauser actions...The 2100, 2600, and 2700 used Midland Gun co. built actions. The 2600 was built starting 1989.
Thankyou as well, There really isnt anything that i have been able to find about the rifle, what it was initally produced for, or how old it is.
Do you no how i could confirm what i have? Is the Midland action any less of an action than the 98 mauser ?
Ok....thanks guys ...I have now had it dated and the marks are for manufacture date 1981.
Next question .....when i go to the Weaver website it states 2 different rails for the front scope mount. #75 and #85. 1 is for a Parker hale 2600 the other is a Parker Hale Midland.
I was under the impression it was a midland 2600. Could any body help me out with this????
Well after looking at the photos closely , it appears you may have a 2100 Hybrid Midland P-H . They used the Mauser action and The '03 Springfield Bolt. They were built prior to 1989.
If that date of 1981 is correct then it cannot be a 2600.
I hope this helps,
