I just traded an 80s Remington Model 700 ADL chambered in .270 for a ? .308 W (the ? brings the point of my post I don't know what brand rifle it is). For instance, the barrel shows Midland Gun Co. Ltd. and close to the action it says Importer Jana Co. On the recoil pad it has a PH and England on it. It looks just like your rifle any input would be appreciated (how old is it, is it any good, is it a Parker Hale or is it a piecemeal.
Well your answer is I dont know with out a lot more info. It apperars that midland gun co. is a manufacture in england . I assume that Jana is as it says the importer who moved it from one country to another. Paker hale is also a manufacturer of firearms from england though it is quite possable they made the butt pad for midland or it may very well have been swaped on to it. pictures and any more info would help. There are members of this forum from over that way that probably have a lot more familiarty than I . good luck !
Its a Parker Hale Mdl 1200 rifle made in England. I have owned two ,one a 25-06 which I have sold and 308 Norma that I still have. At one time the rifles were imported by a company located in Denver, Colo. My rifles were accurate , wish I had not sold the 25-06. I purchased the rifles in the mid 60s.

Aren't these the questions one should resolve before making the trade?
Seems like there could be a big downside here unless you got the .270 for free (or close to it).
