| 450 Marlin Rifle Choices Well, it appears again that my company MAY be moving me to Alaska when my training course is done, so I'm back in the market for bear blasters. I really dig the stainless Winchester guide guns, but they don't come in 450 marlin. I also noticed Marlin doesn't appear to sell anything comparable either. I want the stainless shorty since rough weather and hiking are concerns. Does anybody know of any 450's that fit the bill?

| in 450 Marlin NEF has the ULTA .....single shot ported....but from reading the NEF board the 450 Marlin is only an inprovment above 45/70 for non reloaders......you can get the same preformance SAFELY from a 45/70.....and a LEE Loader (smack it with a hammer pocket loader) is only $14. |

| Get the Marlin and have it coated with the MP3 coating from Robar. It's probably more resistant than stainless which isn't really rust-proof 100%.

| BRG3, I assume by BLR, you mean the browning. I checked their page and it didn't come in 450. Besides, I want the stubby, stout design of the guide gun style rifles.
