| Senior Member   |  The HOWA 1500 is OUTSTANDING I finanly got the scope mounts put on the correct way  Took the Howa 1500 (223 calaber) to the range today.....Got a TASCO 6-18 scope mounted on it......USeing my reloads (55grain Remington FMJ over 27 grains of Reloader 15)......THe best 100 yard group 4 shots can be covered by a dime (with a flyer way off to the right)....this is shooting off a peice of foam rubber as a rest (left my good rest at home by mistake and had to use what I found).....worst group was about the size of a quarter.....even when I was just blasting rounds and got the barrel hot to the touch it still cranked them out at about the size of a quarter.....this is in light puffs of wind...sunny 75is degrees outside......Only thing I got left to do is lighten up the triger (it is adjustable).....right now this is out of the box....cleaned after the last shooting.....I am very impressed with the rifle |

| Senior Member |  Oh the rifle This is the rifle..and high ring set up...need it for the scope. The stock, scope, mounts and barrel are Black..stock is synthetic..... so the pic is not dark...just a dark rifle |

| Senior Member  | Dat's sum SWete shutin'.....yep. It is a great feeling to (1) have a gun that shoots that accurately and (2) shoots accurately a recipe you've worked up. Congrats. I've got to go out today and shoot some recipes for the .45 Kimber and one of my Swedish Mauser 6.5's. Gosh, DL, I hope I have as good a luck as you did.:nod:
