| Super Moderator ![]() | Bull Barreled 300 RUM? As I'm talking about turning my 300 RUM into a target gun and some day pick up a 300 Wby mag for hunting, I'm thinking about how to best set up my RUM for targets. And the most telltale sign of a target rifle, besides a scope, is a heavy barrel. So does anybody know if anyone offers a heavy barreled 300 RUM, or if there are any good replacement barrels in that caliber, preferably for Savage since I have one?

| Super Moderator ![]() | I'm now torn between just planning on a new setup in 300 RUM or trying to use my Savage. Wondering whether to keep the factory barrel with sites or replace with a bull barrel and put into a target stock.

| Super Moderator ![]() | ![]() The Model 700™ Sendero® SF provides all the elements of Remington's most advanced varmint rifles in long-range big-game calibers. The stainless-steel action and free-floating 26" varmint-profile barrel are bedded in a aramid fiber reinforced fiberglass stock with an action-long bedding block. The fluted barrel provides maximum rigidity while shaving a half-pound in weight. The Model 700 Sendero SF is perfectly designed for measured, long range shooting. I'd go for a solid colored stock though.

| Super Moderator ![]() | Might go that route some day, as my 300 RUM just grouped MOA but really killed me on the shoulder. If I ever got into long range shooting, this would be just the thing.
