I saw a Saiga rifle (7.62x39) with a 20" barrel at the last gun show. Am thinking strongly about it. It was only like $200 plus tax. Anyone know what kind of accuracy I could expect out of it?

Went home for labor day weekend, but came back a day early... The Saigas are all great guns. I had a 20ga and loved it, sold it only to buy a Saiga 223 since I didn't really need a 20ga. The 12s have really come down in price and I may get one. I have every caliber of Saiga rifle and they are excellently priced guns. You can convert the rifles to pistol grip and the lower two calibers to hi-cap mags. The 308 doesn't have hi-caps made for it, but I have a working prototype of a modified G3 magazine adaptor. Still has a few bugs to work out though. The shotguns will be legal to convert to pistol grip as soon as the ban expires, in a little over a week. If you find a Saiga that suits your needs and is decently priced, by all means buy it.

Newest one in my stable is the M1 Garand from CMP. A Greek return Springfield Armory Service Grade, which is in great shape for 1943 production. Wood was pretty beat up, but a new Boyds Walnut stock set fixed that.Very solid rifle for $450.

Marstar is Canadian. If only we could get those prices. I will soon have a new gun to talk about. I'm doing a build on an AMD kit that just came in. The kit is perfect and I hope the build does it justice.
