dark bore

what does dark bores have on shootability? I see a lot of kits have dark bores

And milsurps too. Mil-surps primarily in fact.

I don't think they affect safety or accuracy unless they're insanely rusted. It would be important to clean the bores out thoroughly before firing, just to make sure they don't somehow act as an obstruction.
