Put it this way, the .700 kills elephants and buffalo, the 50 BMG kills trucks, choppers and planes.

power is hard to define as one characteristic, but i think .50BMG is the best, with all that mass, it will travel further.

The .50 has more energy left at 1500 yards or more than a 30.06 at the muzzle. I have an empty 30mm case from an A-10 Warthog. I sure would like to shoot one of those. I just need the airplane to go with it. That is one impressive round and considering it can fire 3,000 to 4,000 rounds a minute is mind boggling. I would need a really big progessive press to reload for that one! |
