I'll email him and see if he still has it.

old news:

A few months back I bought three "good" Mosin Nagants from SOG and when they arrived two were absolutely horrible.

One had the stock carved up with initials in it, symbols, and the metal was terribly pitted. Another one's barrell was badly pitted, rusted, etc. The third should have been rated as excellent so I made out on that one.

SOG took the rifles back but they refused to pay the $20 each for UPS shippment and that left a bad taste in my mouth for internet buying.

Once because I didn't know enough about what I was buying. I wasn't lied to, but rather the truth was staring me in the face. I just didn't know enough to see it.

The other times have been by people who claimed to be my friends. Vastly over rating guns, and me trusting them. I'm just the opposite, I under rate guns when I sell them, and have had people who couldn't thank me enough after the sale. (there's nothing worse than having the new owner keep emailing you for weeks telling you how great the gun was, and what a great price you sold it to him for. Ugh.. like rubbing salt in the wound. "Buy high, sell low." That's my motto. lol )

Every time I buy a rifle or gun in New Zealand I'm getting ripped big time! Benelli M2 over your way around $900, over here in the stores $2500, I got mine for a steel only $2000.

I was just starting out with milsurps, didn't know a bleeping thing. Dealer sold me a K98 for way too much without explaining to me what a Russian capture was. I thought it was the coolest thing to have an original K98. Then in passing asked someone at the range about it. They broke the bad news that it was really worthless and the part #'s were scrambled like eggs. Sold it at a severe loss just to purge my mind of the experience. Ever since that day, I research every firearm I want to buy and never buy on the spot.
Other than that, I usually get reamed only when I sell something. :insane:

Wink

I have traded and sold several rifles and I made sure the buyer got more than he paid for. To deceive someone is about as low as you can get.
